One of just three seniors on the UW roster ... ran with the varsity at all but one 2005 fall competition ... brother, Sho, is a wide receiver on the UW football team.
2005-06: Ran in UW's top-seven at each of the season's first two meets, and traveled with the team to Pre-Nationals and Pac-10s ... was the Huskies' No. 7 finisher at the Sundodger and Willamette Invites, placing 26th and 37th, respectively ... was the 10th UW finisher at Pac-10s, in 67th overall ... also placed 22nd in the open race at Pre-Nationals ... ran just twice during the outdoor season, including once each at 3K and 5K.
2004-05: Did not compete during the fall ... ran 15th in the 5000m at the MPSF Indoor meet ... also ran the mile indoors, and the 3000m and 5000m outdoors ... shaved 38 seconds off her 5K best with a time of 18:13.30 at the Ken Shannon Invite.
2003-04: Ran three times in the fall, including a fourth-place finish in the open race at Pac-10s ... made UW debut at Sundodger, placing 34th ... also competed at the Geoduck Invite ... showed versatility on the track, running at distances from one mile to 5000m ... scored top-five finishes in both of her outdoor 5K races in 2004 ... indoors, helped UW to a third-place finish at the MPSF meet with a seventh-place effort in the 5K in an indoor-best 18:12.38 ... also ran indoors in the mile and 3000m.
2002-03: Redshirted both the cross country and track seasons.
High School and Personal: Parents are Tomoko and Takumi ... brother, Sho, is a receiver on the Husky football team ... has another brother, Riki ... took 37th at the state AAA cross country championships, and 17th at the AAA district meet, in 2001 ... was the 11th-place finisher in the 3200m at the state track meet in 2002, and placed fifth in the event at the district championships ... earned eight varsity letters, and served as captain of the track squad in 2002 ... was named Ballard's MVP for cross country as a junior and senior, and was the team's track MVP in 2001 ... an art major.
