McMorrow, Bots Earn All-Pac-12 Honors

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- Washington had two honorees with the announcement of the All-Pac-12 Team on Thursday. Kyle McMorrow was a unanimous selection as first team all-conference, while Marton Bots was named honorable mention.
McMorrow led Washington with a 21-3 record during dual matches and lost only once in conference. He joined Ray Sarmiento of USC as the only unanimous all-conference selection.
The First Team All-Pac-12 selection was the third of McMorrow's career. He was also named honorable mention when he was Pac-12 Newcomer of the year as a freshman. His 98 career wins are currently fifth all-time at UW.
Bots earned his first Pac-12 recognition when he was named honorable mention after a successful season playing at No. 2 singles for the Dawgs. Bots finished 16-12 in dual matches and was briefly ranked nationally by the ITA.
Bots is just the 13th Husky to receive All-Conference recognition since Washington became part of the full Pac-10, disbanding the Northern Division.
Both McMorrow and Bots will be in action on Friday for the first round of the NCAA Tournament when Washington takes on Notre Dame at 7 a.m., PT.
The Pac-12 Player of the Year in men's tennis will be announced on Tuesday, May 14.
