SEATTLE -- Husky student-athletes at the University of Washington have continued to shine in the classroom, putting a strong finish to the 2022-23 academic year. Some highlights from Spring 2023 were:
- Overall department GPA: 3.36
- 21 teams earned a 3.0 or higher team GPA
- 175 student-athletes made Dean's List (3.50+ quarter GPA in 12+ numerically graded credits)
- 411 student-athletes earned a 3.0 or better (79%)
- 22 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 GPA
- 14 teams earned a 3.40 GPA or higher (Beach Volleyball, Men's Cross Country, Women's Cross Country, Women's Golf, Gymnastics, Men's Rowing, Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer, Softball, Women's Tennis, Men's Indoor Track & Field, Women's Indoor Track & Field, Men's Outdoor Track & Field, Women's Outdoor Track & Field)
- Women's Tennis led all teams with an impressive 3.80 team GPA
- Highest team GPAs among small teams (less than 20 student-athletes): Women's Tennis (3.80) and Men's Cross Country (3.42)
- Highest team GPAs among large teams (20+ student-athletes): Men's Ourdoor Track & Field (3.52), Women's Outdoor Track & Field (3.53)
- Most improved teams from Winter 2023: Beach Volleyball and Men's Tennis
