October 04, 2024 | Men's Soccer
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Richie Aman's goal in the 81st minute secured a 2-2 draw for Washington men's soccer against Indiana on Friday night at Bill Armstrong Stadium.
UW moves to 4-2-5 (1-1-3 Big Ten) on the season and extend their unbeaten streak to four matches.
Dating back to 2019, the Huskies are 27-8-11 in road contests. This season, UW has four results as the visiting team.
Indiana got on the board early with Quinton Elliot's goal in the sixth minute.
Charlie Kosakoff responded in the 11th minute with his third goal of the season. It is his second goal against the Hoosiers as his first career goal came at Indiana last season in a 1-0 victory.
Senior defender Caden Buckley recorded his first point in the Purple and Gold with his assist.
The Hoosiers retook the lead minutes later on Elliot's second of the match.
Washington's defense locked down in the last 45 minutes, allowing only five Indiana shots.
With 10 minutes remaining, Aman found the equalizer with his second goal of the season. Kosakoff recorded the assist to match his career-high with three points, also doing so earlier this season at Air Force. He leads the team with 10 points.
Continuing to apply the pressure in the final minutes, Cooper Brunell's shot with 30 seconds remaining hit just off the top of the post.
Washington returns to the pitch on Monday night at No. 4 Ohio State. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. PT and airing on Big Ten Plus.
