SEATTLE – The Husky women's tennis team will open up home competition this week with a midweek matchup against Portland on Wednesday, Jan. 29. First serve is schedule for 3 p.m. at Nordstrom Tennis Center.
Fans can pick up a free UW phone card holder at the marketing table in the tennis center while supplies last.

LAST TIME OUT
- The Dawgs were forced to cancel their match against Columbia on the opening day of ITA Kickoff last weekend. Washington lost 4-0 to host and 6th-ranked UCLA, as the Bruins secured a spot at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships.
- Washington is 1-1 this season, opening the season with a 6-1 win at Hawaii.
- The Dawgs defeated Portland last season 6-1 at home during nonconference play.
- Portland opened the spring season at the Beach Winter Tennis Invite in Long Beach, Calif.
- The Pilots' matches in Houston, Texas against UT Arlington and Houston last weekend were cancelled, so Wednesday's match against the Huskies will be their first dual match of the spring.
