
Gymnastics Opens 2026 Season Ranked 34th in WCGA Preseason Poll

SEATTLE – The Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) released its 2026 preseason rankings on Tuesday, with Washington Gymnastics earning the No. 34 spot.
The Huskies open the 2026 season at the annual Purple & Gold Showcase on Saturday, Dec. 19, at 6:30 p.m. at Alaska Airlines Arena. Admission is free.
The showcase will give fans their first look at Team Fifty Two, which returns 13 athletes and welcomes six freshmen: Elena Brian, Evelyn DeYoung, Haley Fichiera, Charlotte Gray, Lydia Rak, and Jessica Schaffer.
Washington begins regular-season action at home with the Best of the West Washington Quad Meet on Saturday, Jan. 3, hosting No. 20 Cal, Oregon State, and UCLA.
The Huskies' second home meet kicks off Big Ten competition against No. 36 Rutgers on Saturday, Jan. 23, at 6:30 p.m.
