
GymDawgs Compete In Big Four Meet

SEATTLE – The Washington gymnastics team heads to Iowa City, Iowa, on Sunday, March 2, for the Big Four Quad meet against host Iowa, No. 7 Michigan State and No. 25 Penn State.
The meet is set for 4 p.m. PT and will stream on Big Ten Network, with Connor Onion and JaNay Honest on the call. Live scoring is available HERE.
Washington is coming off a second-place finish at the Illinois Tri-Meet, where the Huskies posted a 194.875. The team claimed three event titles, with Taylor Russon tying for first on bars and Emily Innes and Mary McDonough sharing the floor title. Currently ranked No. 37 nationally, Washington continues to excel on beam, where it sits at No. 29. Individually, Russon is among the Big Ten's top 25 on beam, and Innes is tied for fourth on floor.

Iowa, led by former Washington head coach Jen Llewellyn, fell to Maryland in its last meet, 195.750-194.725, but secured five top-three finishes. The GymHawks are now 5-6 overall and 2-4 in Big Ten competition. No. 7 Michigan State enters the meet with an 8-2 overall record and a 5-1 mark in Big Ten competition. The Spartans rank among the top 15 in all four events, including third on vault, under eighth-year head coach Mike Rowe. No. 25 Penn State, led by eighth-year head coach Sarah Brown, holds a 9-3 overall record and is 4-2 in Big Ten competition. The Nittany Lions' strongest event is beam, where they rank 20th nationally.
