
Huskies Take Fourth In Diablos College Invitational

SEATTLE – The Huskies finished up their weekend of play at the Diablos College Invitational today resulting in a fourth-place finish.
After a strong start in their doubles round against Arizona yesterday, they continued their match into the singles round today with a 1-0 lead. Arizona proved to be a tough opponent, beating the Huskies in four out of six singles matches. Highlights of the match included Washington's Dzianis Zharyn defeating No. 60 ranked Zoran Ludoski. Cesar Boughelaghem also played in a toe-to-toe match with No. 8 ranked Jay Friend with a final score of 7-6(7-4), 7-5.
The Huskies then took on Boise State for their last match of the day to fight for third and fourth place. Another strong start in doubles lead to an early 1-0 lead for the Huskies with wins from doubles duo Bouchelaghem and Zharyn as well as Rohan Belday and Brett Pearson.
Another tough round of singles led to a UW loss of 2-4. Bouchelaghem won his match against No. 92 Jett Middleton 6-3, 6-3.
The Huskies are back on the road next weekend with a Friday match against Michigan State and a Sunday match against Michigan.
