Huskies Fall To No. 47 Michigan State

SEATTLE - The Huskies fell to No. 47 Michigan State today in their first match in the Big Ten Conference.
Michigan State proved to be a tough opponent, taking the doubles round which led to a 0-1 score going into singles.
A couple of Huskies had early successes with Ivan Sodan winning his match 6-1, 6-1. Rohan Belday also won against Mithell Sheldon, ending in a 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 score.
UW's Cesar Bouchelaghem pushed No. 4 ranked Ozan Baris to the limits in a close match, ultimately trailing behind 4-6, 6-3, 2-6. Soham Purohit also put up a good fight against No. 78 Max Sheldon, ending in a 3-6, 6-2, 4-6 score.
The Huskies are not done for the weekend. They will be back on Sunday for another match on the road to take on No. 18 Michigan at 8:00 a.m.
