SEATTLE – The No. 20 women's tennis team (10-2, 3-1 Big Ten) will head on its second league trip this weekend as the squad travels to the Windy City to face Northwestern and Illinois.
LAST TIME OUT
The Huskies dropped one spot in the ITA rankings after splitting a weekend at home with USC and UCLA.
Washington fell to the then-No. 18 Trojans in the final moments as they took a 3-1 lead before USC climbed back to tie the match 3-3. USC's 47th-ranked Grace Piper clinched the match on the top court for the Trojans.
The Huskies bounced back from the loss to defeat then-No. 26 UCLA 4-1.
Reece Carter and Alexia Jacobs defeated the 12th-ranked Bruin pair of Wagle/Nance but the Huskies lost the doubles point for just the third time this season.
Washington dominated singles, with Carter, Erika Matsuda, and Jacobs defeating ranked opponents on the top three courts.

SCOUTING REPORT – NO. 39 NORTHWESTERN
The Wildcats are 9-7 this season and 2-2 in conference play, most recently coming off a 3-4 loss to No. 49 Iowa at home.
SCOUTING REPORT – NO. 45 ILLINOIS
Illinois will face Oregon on Saturday, March 22 before meeting the Huskies Sunday at the Atkins Tennis Center. The Fighting Illini swept Nebraska 4-0 most recently as Illinois is 7-8 on the season (2-2 Big Ten).
