Small Pack Opens Outdoor Season In Texas

SEATTLE – A small group of Huskies tests out the outdoors for the first time this week, traveling to Texas. Washington will send a group of sprinters and pole vaulters to the Texas Relays in Austin and, potentially, also to the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Texas State in San Marcos.
Washington wrapped up another tremendous indoor season two weeks back in Virginia Beach, with the women's team earning a record-breaking fourth-place team finish and the men placing 19th overall at NCAA Indoors. Most of the squad will aim to open up next week at the Stanford Invitational, but a select few will kick things off this Thursday through Saturday.
On Thursday at the Texas Relays, 400m hurdlers Anna Terrell and Bodi Ligons will open things up. They are also entered at the Bobcat Invite at Texas State on Friday.
Saturday back in Austin, pole vault All-Americans Scott Toney and Mathis Bresko are slated to compete.
