Beach Volleyball Senior Day Sweep

SEATTLE — No. 20 Washington beach volleyball dominated its Saturday doubleheader at Alki Beach, earning back-to-back sweeps over No. 19 FIU and Oregon.
The Huskies opened the day with a 5-0 win over FIU, taking all five matches in straight sets. Katarina Pantovic and Lauren Wilcock set the tone with a 21-12, 21-12 win on court two, followed by Teila Allen and Jade Sadeiko on court one, who secured a 21-12, 21-16 victory.
Washington's momentum carried through the lineup, with Brooke Balue and Niki Egan earning a 21-12, 21-19 win on court three. Emma Hohenauer and Sarah Wilcock edged out a 21-17, 21-19 result at No. 4, and Hannah Doyle and Alina Urzua completed the sweep with a 21-16, 21-19 win on court five.
In the afternoon match against Oregon, the Huskies once again claimed all five courts. Pantovic and L. Wilcock cruised to a 21-13, 21-11 win on court two, while Hohenauer and S. Wilcock followed with a 21-14, 21-9 victory at No. 4.
Doyle and Urzua clinched the dual with a 21-13, 21-18 win on court five. Balue and Egan battled to a three-set win on court three, and Allen and Sadeiko capped the day with a come-from-behind 17-21, 21-14, 15-8 win at the top spot. This marked the Huskies second win over the Ducks this weekend.
Following the conclusion of the Invitational, Washington honored four seniors: Hannah Doyle, Jade Sadeiko, Josie Ulrich and Lauren Wilcock.
