SEATTLE - The Huskies will host their final two matches of regular season play this weekend. On Friday they will take on No. 70 Northwestern and No. 31 Illinois on Sunday. Friday's match will most likely take place on the outdoor courts at the Bill Quillian Tennis Stadium and Sunday will be indoors at the Nordstrom Tennis Center dependent on weather.
These final matches come after a nice winning stretch for the Huskies. They have won their last four matches, taking down both Indiana and Purdue on the road last weekend. They sit at a 7-4 record in Big Ten play and a 15-6 overall season record.
The Dawgs come into the weekend ranked at No. 39, their highest ranking of the season so far. Cesar Bouchelgahem is also ranked in singles play at No. 35. Illinois comes into the weekend with two ranked players as well. Kenta Miyoshi is at No. 14 and William Mroz is at No. 76.
Being the last home match of the season, Sunday will also mark senior day. Three seniors will be honored this year. Cesar Bouchelaghem, Dzianis Zharyn and Nedim Suko have all been at UW since they were freshman. The match will serve as a way to honor their hard work and commitment over the last four years.
