SEATTLE – Washington senior guard Sayvia Sellers was selected by Big Ten coaches and media to the 2026-27 Preseason All-Big Ten Team for the second year in a row, the conference announced. She was one of 10 players selected.
In the 2025-26 season, Sellers was unanimously selected to the All-Big Ten First Team by the coaches and became the first player in Washington program history to be named USBWA National Player of the Week twice in the same season. She started all 33 games for the Huskies and led the team with a career-best 18.0 points and 3.9 assists per game last season. Sellers also showed growth in her scoring efficiency while taking on an increased offensive role as a junior.
As Washington enters the 2026-27 season, the Huskies appeared at No. 17 on ESPN's Way-Too-Early Top 25, with Sellers returning as one of the nation's leading offensive threats.
Washington's season and home opener against UC San Diego is set to tip off on Nov. 2, the first opportunity for fans to see Sayvia and the 2026-27 Dawgs in action.
Big Ten conference play will kick off Dec. 5 at Alaska Airlines Arena as UW faces fellow ESPN way-to-early top 25 team USC.
