SEATTLE – After his first collegiate win at the Saint Mary's Invitational, Hamish Farquharson has been named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced today.
Farquharson became the first Husky freshman since 2018 to win a tournament title. He is also the fourth Washington freshman to earn medalist honors – joining Robert Moran (2018), C.T. Pan (2011), Chris Williams (2010) and Joe Ramos (2001).
This is the second Big Ten Golfer of the Week honor for Washington this season as Finn Koelle was named the honoree on Sept. 17 following his win at the Sahalee Players Championship.
Washington won the Saint Mary's Invitational by eight strokes over No. 21 Santa Clara. It was the first team title since the 2023-24 season.
