
Huskies Head To Columbus, Taking On No. 19 Ohio State

SEATTLE – The Huskies head to Columbus to face No. 19 Ohio State at Covelli Center on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 1:00 p.m. PST.

The GymDawgs returned home last Saturday to compete against No. 34 Illinois, coming up just short with a 194.400 to 194.475 score at Alaska Airlines Arena.
Washington got off to a strong start on vault, scoring 48.850, with Mary McDonough leading the team with a 9.825, matching her season-high and earning co-champion honors. Kira Bolden and Lilly Tubbs each scored 9.775 to tie for second overall.
The Huskies carried their momentum into the bars, scoring 47.250. Tubbs led the rotation with a 9.850, with a standout dismount that earned her second overall. Deiah Moody followed with a 9.825 for third, while Olivia Oppegard posted 9.775, tying for fourth overall.
Washington continued its strong night on beam, earning a 49.025. Kristin Lin and Tubbs each scored 9.825, tying for second overall, while Lana Navarro and Chelsea Hallinan added 9.800 to tie for fourth. Hallinan brought her usual energy with a lively celebration, honoring the Seahawks before their Super Bowl victory.
The GymDawgs closed the night on floor, putting up a 49.275, their third consecutive meet reaching that mark. Caitlin McWilliams led the rotation with a career-high 9.925, claiming the floor event title. Bolden and Hallinan each posted career-high 9.850s, while Lin also scored 9.850, with all three tying for second.
Lin finished the night with a 38.500 in the all-around.
Following the Illinois meet, Hallinan ranked No. 27 nationally No. 7 in the Big Ten on beam.
HUSKIES IN THE RANKINGS
Ohio State enters the meet following a loss to No. 3 Michigan, scoring 197.025–197.375 at Corvelli Center, a season-high team score. Senior Tory Vetter won the all-around with a season-high 39.525, capturing event wins on floor and uneven bars (9.900 each). JJ Coleman won the vault event title with 9.900. The Buckeyes have been ranked No. 19 nationally for four consecutive weeks, with an average score of 196.340.
