GymDawgs Head To Penn State For Big Four Quad Meet

SEATTLE – The Washington gymnastics team heads to University Park, Penn., on Saturday, Feb. 28, for the Big Four Quad Meet against host No. 20 Penn State, No. 9 Michigan, and No. 29 Nebraska.
The meet is set for 3 p.m. PT and will stream on Big Ten Network. Live scoring is available HERE.
Washington is coming off a tight loss against No.13 Minnesota, where the Huskies posted a 196.300, their second highest overall score of the season.
The Huskies saw strong performances on uneven bars, as Lilly Tubbs matched her season-high with a 9.900 to place second overall, while Evelyn DeYoung made her collegiate debut with a 9.750.
The team then delivered a season-best 49.425 on beam, the highest rotation score of both the meet and the season. The GymDawgs claimed one event title, as Chelsea Hallinan recorded a career-high 9.975 on beam to take the event title.
Additional standout performances included Deiah Moody earning a career-high 9.925 on beam, Kristin Lin matching her season-high 9.875, and Olivia Oppegard tying her season-best with a 9.825. Elena Brian made her collegiate debut, posting a 9.675.
The Huskies are currently ranked No. 34 nationally, and continue to excel on beam and floor, where both events rank in the top 30. Individually, Hallinan sits No. 16 nationally on beam, and No. 5 in the Big Ten.

Penn State goes into the meet with a 196.525-197.075 loss to Iowa. On Penn State's Senior Night the team recorded its 11th consecutive meet scoring 196.000 or higher. The Nittany Lions excelled on uneven bars, with Latroncia, Cash, and Leary each scoring 9.900 or better, helping Penn State secure a 49.375, the fifth-highest bars score in program history.
Nebraska comes into the meet after a loss to Maryland at the XFINITY Center, falling 195.900-196.050. The Huskers earned a season-high 49.375 on vault, highlighted by career-high 9.900s from Jencks and Sikon.
Michigan enters the competition following a 197.100–195.675 victory over Rutgers. Graduate students Carly Bauman and Jahzara Ranger each claimed two event titles. Bauman shared the floor exercise title with teammate Sophia Diaz, as the trio recorded matching 9.900s. Bauman also captured the uneven bars title with a 9.925, while Ranger earned her second straight balance beam title with a 9.925. Graduate student Reyna Guggino opened the meet with a stuck landing on vault to win the event title with a 9.925.
