2026 Husky Volleyball Schedule Unveiled

SEATTLE โ The fall season schedule is set for Husky Volleyball. Washington today announced its non-conference slate along with the Big Ten Conference schedule, drawing up the road map for a journey that begins this August.

Season tickets are currently on sale for the 2026 season, which begins at home on August 28th against UC Irvine. The opening home weekend at Alaska Airlines Arena continues on Aug. 29 against San Diego State, and concludes on Sunday, Aug. 30, against IU Indianapolis. Prior to the regular season opener, UW will also host an exhibition against Montana State on Aug. 21.

For the first installment of the Big Ten/SEC Challenge, the Huskies will travel in week two to Norman, Okla. to face Ole Miss on Sept. 3 and the host Sooners on Sept. 4.

Week three sees the Dawgs home again for Lipscomb on Sept. 10, and then the Apple Cup of Volleyball against Washington State on Sept. 13.

Non-conference wraps with a journey to South Dakota, where the Huskies will play South Dakota State and South Dakota on Sept. 18 and 19, respectively, in Sioux Falls.

Big Ten play begins on the road on Sept. 25 at Michigan State, followed by a visit to Michigan on the 27th.

October begins with a Big Ten battle at home against Illinois on Oct. 2, followed by Purdue on Oct. 4. Then it's another eastern time zone trip to Ohio State (10/9) and Penn State (10/11), returning to host Rutgers (10/16) and Indiana (10/18)

On Oct. 23 the Huskies pay a visit to Wisconsin and then head to Minneapolis to face the Gophers on Oct. 25.

A four-match homestand follows, starting with Iowa on Oct. 30, and Maryland on Nov. 1. Northwestern comes in on Nov. 6, and then the final home match of the season is sure to be a must-have ticket as Big Ten Champion Nebraska returns on Nov. 8.

The last time the Huskers visited in 2024 was a complete sellout, so grabbing season tickets is the best way to guarantee your spot for their return.

UW concludes conference play with three-straight on the road, going to L.A. to take on UCLA on Nov. 12 and USC on Nov. 14, and closing out with their one and only meeting with Oregon, in Eugene, on Nov. 17.

This is the first Big Ten season with a complete 17-team round robin, with no home-and-away series, due to the first ever Big Ten Tournament, set for Nov. 20-25 in Fishers, Indiana.

Washington returns one of the Big Ten's best middle blocker tandems in senior Katy Wessels and junior Julia Hunt, with Simona Mateska entering her second season after earning All-Region honorable mention as she posted the most kills by a UW freshman since Krista Vansant in 2011.

Head Coach Leslie Gabriel also welcomes in a huge group of new Dawgs with six freshmen and a pair of transfers.

Husky fans are some of the most loyal in the nation. Washington ranked 14th nationally in home attendance in the 2025 regular season, which was the 21st year in a row that UW ranked in the top-20.
