CARY, N.C. – Washington's Alexia Jacobs and Marie Weissheim advanced to the Round of 16 at the ITA All-American Championships.
The fifth-ranked duo competed against the 52nd-ranked pair Eugenia Zozaya Menendez and Shannon Lam in the first round of the main draw. Washington battled in the first set but came away with a 6-4 victory. The Dawgs came out and dominated the second set and sent themselves to the next round with a 6-1 set dub.
Jacobs and Weissheim will face Texas A&M's 53rd-ranked Lexington Reed and Kristina Paskauskas tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. PT in the Round of 16.
