Washington Back In AVCA Rankings At No. 22

SEATTLE – Husky Volleyball is back in the national top-25 for the first time since the 2024 season, debuting at No. 22 in the latest AVCA coaches poll, out today. Washington is off to an 11-0 start and won its first two matches in conference play this past week, beating previously undefeated Michigan State and Michigan.

With the wins in East Lansing and Ann Arbor last weekend, UW earned its first 2-0 road week since joining the Big Ten in 2024. The last time the Dawgs were in the top-25 was Oct. 7, 2024, when they were No. 24.

The No. 22 ranking is UW's highest since Nov. 14 of 2022 when the Huskies were ranked 21st.

This week the Dawgs will be tested back at home against Illinois and 10th-ranked Purdue. On Friday at 7 p.m., UW hosts the Fighting Illini who just posted two top-25 upsets last week against then-No. 15 Minnesota and then-No. 23 USC. Illinois is now just outside the top-25 at 27th overall. Sunday, the Dawgs host the Boilermakers in what will officially be their first top-25 showdown of the season.
