Former Husky Lepp Wins First Title As a Professional On Canadian Tour

SOUTH SURREY, B.C. - Former Washington men's golfer James Lepp won his first tournament as a professional on the Canadian Tour, Sunday, claiming the Greater Vancouver Charity Classic title by four shots at Hazelmere Golf Course.
Lepp, who won a NCAA individual title with the Huskies in 2005, fired a final-round 4-under 68 and finished 14-under 242 overall. He bested Americans Anthony Rodriguez and Eugene Smith for the win.
Former Huskies Connor Robbins (2000-03) and Travis Andrews (2005) also played with Lepp in the tournament.
Lepp, a native of Abbotsford, B.C., won the Greater Vancouver Classic as an amateur four years ago. He was a two-year letterwinner at Washington in 2005 and 2006 after transferring from Illinois. In addition to becoming Washington's first NCAA champion in 2005, he was a two-time All-American and two-time All-Pac-10 honoree for the Huskies during his career.
