Tennis Recruit Manthou To Toss M's First PitchHusky tennis recruit Max Manthou will serve up a different kind of ball than the one he's used to this evening, as the four-time Washington state tennis champion will throw Manthou, a Tacoma native, was undefeated in four years of play for Kentwood High School, and became the first student-athlete in state history to win four-consecutive 4A state singles titles. He also played for Kentwood's state champion boys basketball team this season. Game time is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. so head in a little early to see if Manthou's pitching arm is as good as his forehand or jump shot. ---Update--- Here's a shot of Manthou on the mound on Wednesday.
