Attended both Nevada (2023) and California (2021-22) before transferring to UW in the summer of 2024 β¦ started the first six games of the 2023 season for Nevada before sustaining a season-ending injury β¦ 14 receptions for 179 yards in 2023 β¦ career-best 81 receiving yards vs. UNLV β¦ played two seasons at Cal β¦ as a sophomore in 2022, played in 12 games, catching 18 passes for 207 yards with one touchdown β¦ played in 10 games as a true freshman at Cal, catching 14 passes for 48 yards and one score β¦ attended Jesuit High in Sacramento β¦ senior season was canceled due to the pandemic β¦ played tight end and defensive end in 2019, as a junior β¦ helped lead Jesuit to the semifinals of the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division II playoffs β¦ also a standout rugby player β¦ younger brother of Laiatu Latu, who began his college career at UW β¦ Laiatu went on to win the Lombardi and Ted Hendricks Awards for UCLA in 2023, and was the 15thΒ overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
