Aleah Goodman enters her third season with the Washington women's basketball program and her first as associate head coach after earning a promotion in June 2026. Regarded as one of the nation's rising coaching talents, Goodman has contributed to NCAA Tournament success at every stop of her career, drawing on an accomplished playing résumé and a deep understanding of the game.
In her first two seasons on Montlake, Goodman helped guide the Huskies to consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, including the program's first berth since 2017 in 2024–25. Her scouting expertise played a key role in Washington's success against some of the Big Ten's top teams in 2025–26, while her work in player development helped shape one of the nation's premier defensive units. The Huskies held eight of the 17 NCAA Tournament teams they faced to their lowest or second-lowest point total in regulation and finished with a program-record NET ranking of No. 22. Washington also posted its highest win total (22), most conference wins (10), road victories (7), and home wins (13) since the 2016–17 season.
During Washington's inaugural Big Ten campaign in 2024–25, Goodman helped oversee a seamless transition as the Huskies led the conference in field goal percentage (49.5%), three-point percentage (40.1%), and free-throw percentage (83.6%) during league play.
Before arriving at Washington, Goodman spent the 2023–24 season as an assistant coach at Oregon State, helping lead the Beavers to the Elite Eight for the first time since 2018. Oregon State finished 27–8 and ranked No. 8 in the final Associated Press poll. Prior to that, she served as Director of Recruiting and Player Development at Duke, where her scouting efforts contributed to a 26–7 record and a No. 3 NCAA Tournament seed. Goodman also played a significant role in recruiting, helping the Blue Devils sign five ESPNW HoopGurlz Top 100 prospects across two recruiting classes.
Goodman transitioned into coaching following a decorated playing career at Oregon State. She earned All-Pac-12 honors in each of her four seasons, becoming one of the conference's most decorated players of her era. As a sophomore, she became the first player in Pac-12 history to be named Sixth Player of the Year and later earned WBCA All-America Honorable Mention recognition and two Pac-12 All-Defensive Team selections.
A four-year NCAA Tournament participant, Goodman helped lead the Beavers to an Elite Eight and two Sweet Sixteen runs. She was selected No. 30 overall by the Connecticut Sun in the 2021 WNBA Draft. This championship-level playing experience continues to shape her approach to player development, scouting, and game preparation.
A native of Canby, Oregon, Goodman earned both her bachelor's degree in human development and family science and her master's degree in student services administration from Oregon State. She is the daughter of Kevin and Kari Goodman and has three sisters, Anna Stephens, Kylie George, and Tori Almonte, and one brother, Jordan Goodman.
