2022 (As A Redshirt Freshman)
Her first season on the sand following three indoor seasons ... had a 7-16 record, playing with six different partners … went 0-1 in one match at No. 1 with Natalie Robinson, 4-3 partnering with Audra Wilmes (2-3 at No. 3 and 2-0 at No. 4), 2-8 with Ashley Shook (0-1 at No. 4 and 2-7 at No. 5), 1-0 at No. 5 with Emma Calle, 0-1 at No. 5 with Kyra Petersen, and 0-3 at No. 5 with Mia Savoldelli
Partnered with Wilmes: had a couple huge wins at Alki Beach with Wilmes, including a 21-13, 17-21, 15-11 win at No. 3 over No. 8 Hawaii’s Penner/Widener in the 3-2 win, and a 22-20, 21-18 win over Oregon’s McClellan/Rothstein in another 3-2 win the next day.
Partnered with Shook: two wins over Pac-12 squads, getting a 21-19, 21-14 win over Oregon’s Siegrist/Rothstein at No. 5 on Mar. 26, and defeating Utah’s No. 5 duo of Pitzak/Jacinto on Apr. 9
Partnered with Robinson: stepped in for an injured Chloe Loreen at the No. 1 spot on Apr. 2 and had a close loss against a tough Boise State team of Martin/Tan, falling 21-18, 21-19.
Partnered with Calle: a win over Portland’s No. 5 Hawken/Jackson, 21-7, 21-12, in their only match together on Apr. 16.
Partnered with Savoldelli: teamed for the first time with Savoldelli, who joined the active roster due to injury late in the year, at the Pac-12 Championships, but were unable to earn a win.
High School and Personal: Born in Nine Mile Falls, Washington ... parents are Emily and Mac Mikkelsen ... has one older sister, Lexi, and one younger brother, Calvin ... sister plays volleyball at Carroll College in Montana, father played football at Whitworth University and mother played high school volleyball ... a league MVP of the Northeast A League her senior season despite missing time due to a shoulder injury and a two-time All-State First Team selection ... named a Shining Star by PrepVolleyball.com at the Colorado Crossroads and Pacific Northwest Qualifier while playing club for the Splash Volleyball Club ... a KXLY4 News Shining Star ... also played club one year for KEVA ... helped lead Lakeside to the 1A state title as a sophomore and won three straight NEA league titles ... also lettered all four years in track and field and two years in basketball ... track team captain in 2018 and 2019 and was top-four at state in 2018 in the shot put, javelin, and the discus, and was state runner-up in 2019 in the shot put ... goes by "Bibs" a childhood nickname ... considering majoring in Psychology.
