Bio
Came to Washington for postbaccalaureate studies and her final year of eligibility after a four-year career at Grand Canyon where she competed in the 2022 NCAA Championships.
2022-23 (As A Senior)
In her one and only season on the squad, started every match and went 19-17 in dual play and 18-7 in the fall … in dual play, was 14-7 with Mary Sinclair, all at the No. 4 spot, was 5-9 with Shannon Gormally (2-3 at No. 3; 1-4 at No. 4; 2-2 at No. 5), and 0-1 with Maeve Griffin at No. 4 … nineteen dual wins ranked tied for fourth in UW single season history.
Partnered with Sinclair: First big win as a duo came over No. 4 UCLA’s Van Winkle/Greene-Agnew, a 21-19, 21-17 win in the close 2-3 Husky loss … went 5-0 at the Husky Invitational with wins over Portland, Oregon and Boise State … a huge 35-33, 16-21, 15-12 win over 20th-ranked Pepperdine’s No. 4 duo of Campbell/Perex in a 3-2 win … closed out the year with a huge final win, beating No. 3 USC’s duo of Showalter/Rasnick-Pope, 21-23, 21-14, 15-13 … had close three set losses against the likes of No. 5 LSU, No. 9 Cal, and No. 5 LMU.
Partnered with Gormally: First win came in third match of season, beating 19th-ranked South Carolina’s Gleason/Gray, 21-17, 21-18 … topped Gonzalez/Ryan of Coastal Carolina in three sets on Feb. 26 … had three-straight third set losses, two coming by 14-16 final set scores, against No. 17 Arizona, No. 7 Stanford, and No. 4 USC, at the Pac-12 South Invite … consecutive victories over Oregon’s Plevin/Rothstein on Mar. 5 and 10 … a 21-18, 21-12 win over Byrd/Wenaas of Texas at No. 4.
Additional Fall Partnerships: Went 6-0 to start the fall with Chloe Loreen, winning the Gold Division at the Alki Pairs Tournament over teammates Robinson/Monk-Heidrich … went 9-6 with Piper Monk-Heidrich, competing as one of two UW pairs at the AVCA Pairs National Championships, where they went 4-4, getting wins over Ebertin/Peters of Tulane, Parkhurst/Rennie of Arizona, Reames/Thompson of College of Charleston, and Buchner/Gessner of California … big win with Monk-Heidrich over Stanford’s Ekstrom/Vincent at the West Coast Pairs Championships … also had one win with Kendall Mather, a 18-21, 21-19, 15-8 win over Grand Canyon’s Harris/Hutchings at West Coast Pairs.
2022 (As A Junior At Grand Canyon)
Played 29 of 32 matches … earned a 21-8 record on Court 3 … took down multiple top-20 teams including No. 8 Stanford (twice), No. 11 Cal Poly, No. 13 Georgia State, No. 11 FAU, No. 20 Tulane, No. 8 Hawaii, No. 11 Long Beach State, No. 17 Arizona and No. 11 Cal.
2021 (As A Sophomore At Grand Canyon)
Played 28 of 29 matches for the Lopes … finished the season with a 15-13 record on Courts 1 and 2 … picked up ranked wins over No. 20 Arizona State, No. 13 Arizona, No. 16 Long Beach State and No. 10 Cal.
2020 (Sophomore Season At Grand Canyon Canceled Due To Covid-19)
Competed on Court 1 for every game in 2020 earning a 10-2 record … gathered key wins over No. 4 USC, No. 11 Cal and No. 17 South Carolina.
2019 (As A Redshirt Freshman At Grand Canyon)
Earned a 18-11 record in the 2019 regular season competing on all five courts … collected big court wins against No. 10 Long Beach State, No. 15 LMU and No. 16 Georgia State … qualified for the USA Beach Volleyball Team in order to compete in the FIVB Beach Volleyball U21 World Championships in Udon Thani, Thailand with partner Bella Bauman, finishing ninth at the competition.
High School and Personal
Born in Cassville, Missouri … parents are Torey and Gina DeFalco … brother TJ played volleyball for Long Beach State and for the United States Men’s National Team … played for OTVA volleyball club which finished ranked first in the country. Also played for A4 volleyball club which was ranked fifth in the nation … finished her career with All-State and All-Conference honors.

WAC Libero of the Year … earned All-WAC first team … played in all 26 matches for the Lopes … totaled 479 digs and 5.21 digs per set … had a team best 39 service aces and .42 aces per set … led the WAC in digs per set and aces per set … set two career records for GCU, in digs with 1801 and 107 service aces … set the season-aces school record with 39.

Participated in beach volleyball only due to COVID-19.
2019
Started in 26 matches while playing in 27 … starting libero recorded 480 digs and averages 4.57 per set … had a team high of 26 aces … recorded a season high of 31 digs against Kansas City on Nov. 22 … finished 2019 with a reception percentage of .967.
2018
Only player to play in all 107 sets in 2018 … starting libero recorded 523 digs and 4.89 digs per set … finished third on the Lopes with 20 aces … recorded at least 10 digs in 25 of the 28 matches … single-match highs of 35 digs (Idaho) and three aces (Chicago State) … finished 2018 with a .970 reception percentage (430 attempts).

All-WAC Freshman Team … 13 double-doubles … 272 kills, 319 digs, 22 aces, 25 blocks … 41 kills in three matches at U of A Tournament.
