Husky Men's Golf Ties for 12th at PING/Golfweek Preview

Williamsburg, Va. - The Washington men's golf team closed out play at the PING/Golfweek Preview today, finishing in a tie for 12th with a 27-over 867. Senior Alex Prugh was the Huskies' top finisher, carding a 1-over 211 to tie for 11th. The University of Florida won the team title and Gator Billy Horschel took medalist honors.
Prugh shot a team-best 3-under 67 in the final round to secure 11th place. Freshman Joel Dahmen finished in a tie for 38th, carding a 7-over 211, while sophomore John Wise recorded a 9-over 219, which tied him for 49th. Senior Erik Olson's 10-over 220 left him in a tie for 51st, while Chris Killmer rounded out the UW contingent with a 19-over 229 and a tie for 68th.
The Huskies have some time off before heading to the Pac-10/Big-10 Challenge, held on the Pacific Course at Bandon Dunes in Bandon, Ore., from Oct. 23-24.
