Opening remarks: "Washington State played a solid game. They kind of just played their pace. They played like a veteran team and never got rattled; never played any harder or softer. They just played it the same way all the way through regardless of what happened. Tonight, the better team won. They did a nice job. The just kept grinding. It's hard to get them to turn the ball over. They only turned the ball over eight times. They were getting a shot at the rim almost every time. Their guards played very well."
On what was different tonight from last night's win against ASU: "I think it was our inability to get stops. We couldn't get stops. Taylor Rochestie had a heck of a game and we couldn't keep him in front of us and he made big shots. We got the ball inside quite a bit and tired to draw fouls and weren't able to come up with any."
On Artem Wallace's performance: "Artem had a very good game. We were able to go down low to him and he scored. He did a very nice job."
Washington freshman center Spencer Hawes
On how Washington State contained him: "They mixed up double teaming me with playing me man on man coverage."
On what the team looks forward to: "As funny as this sounds we have to look forward to the NIT. As much of a letdown as it is we have to handle it the best we can. We still have games to play."
Washington sophomore center Artem Wallace
On possibly playing in the NIT: "We can't look at playing in the NIT as a consolation prize."
