Wednesday marked the first ever meeting between Washington and Valparaiso.
Senior guard Ryan Appleby ends his career with a Washington record 231 three-pointers, ranking fourth all-time in 3-point percentage, shooting 41.3% (231-559) behind the arc for his career.
Junior forward Jon Brockman finished the game with a game-high 22 points and 12 rebounds in his first game back since suffering a sprained left ankle with 1:56 left in the second overtime of a 76-73 loss at Washington State. With his 22 points, Brockman now has 1299 for his career, surpassing Nate Robinson (1283, 14.4ppg) and Andra Griffin (1294, 12.1ppg) for sole possession of 18th place on the Huskies all-time scoring list. Brockman has scored in double-figures in each game this season and his 23 double-doubles are the most ever by a Washington player.
Brockman finished the season with 568 points (17.8 ppg) and 370 rebounds (11.6 rpg), categories in which he ranks 4th and 7th respectively for a Husky player in a single season.
Freshman guard Venoy Overton finished the season with 107 assists (3.3 apg), a mark second only to Justin Dentmon (124, 3.8 apg) for assists by a UW freshman in a single season.
Washington's bench outscored the Crusader's reserves 45-24, thanks in large part to Brockman's 22 points. The Huskies' subs have outscored their opponent's counterparts in 27 of 33 games this season.
Washington falls to 15-5 this season when going into halftime with the lead.
UW held a 20-2 advantage in points off turnovers, thanks in part to 11 team steals.
