Third Round Quotes:
UW Head Coach Matt Thurmond
How did today's round compare to any possible expectations you might have had:
"I've learned to not have expectations. For what it was today, we didn't by any means embarrass ourselves. The guys really competed hard. It's a super tough course in tough conditions. I'm just glad I don't have to play. I think you'd always like to play better but we're going to be okay. We're still not going to be too far out of it going into tomorrow."
On Nick Taylor's round:
"Once again I didn't watch him. He was so consistent all day and when you have a guy that's going to be on par it keeps your team in it. He didn't miss any fairways I don't think. He's just going to continue to be Nick and keep doing what he's doing. He's got a really good shot to win this tomorrow. Looks like he's going to be four out of the lead with only one guy ahead of him and anything can happen out here."
Have there been any surprises for you during the tournament?
"(Tze Huang) Choo did a great job again today with a 76. I was proud that we made four pars on No. 9 which along with 18 are the two toughest holes on the course. And to make four pars at the end after having lost a lot of shots I thought was a great deal."
UW Sophomore Nick Taylor
On today's round:
"I hit the ball really well today, at least with my driver. I think I hit almost every fairway. I started pretty well, I birded 12 which is one of the hardest holes and chipped in on 16 so that got me started off well. Seventeen and 18 were playing really hard and I bogied both of them. Five was playing hard and I bogied that. I had some birdie putts on the back nine but just didn't make them. It was tough to make them with the wind."
On the effect of the wind:
"It effected the shots the whole day but the last eight or nine holes it started to effect putts. It was tough to judge if there was a gust."
On feeling any pressure sitting atop the leaderboard heading into the final round:
"I don't think so. I want to just focus on helping the team."
