No. 15 Huskies Stunned By Oregon State

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Two late runs powered Oregon State to its second Pac-10 victory in game two vs. No. 15 Washington on Friday afternoon in Corvallis, Ore., to tie the series. The Huskies fall to 33-14 overall and 8-12 in league play while OSU improves to 19-27 and 2-18.
The Huskies got two quick runs in the first with a two out home run by freshman Kaitlin Inglesby (Portland, Ore.), her 11th of the year.
Oregon State got to within one in the second on a one-out double by Ally Kutz.
Each team scored a run in the third. For the Huskies, junior Niki Williams (Mission Viejo, Calif.) scored on a single by Inglesby.
In the bottom of the third, McKenna Lowe led off the inning with a single and scored on a single by Ashley Sanchez to get OSU within one.
The Beavers took the lead for good in the sixth with two runs. Audrey Roderfield led off the inning with a solo homer to tie. A bases loaded walk gave OSU a 4-3 lead.
The Huskies had their chances in the seventh but couldn't get a run across.
Inglesby started the game in the circle for UW allowing two earned runs on six hits in 4.0 innings. Freshman Whitney Jones (Upland, Calif.) pitched 1.1 innings of relief, allowing one run on one hit. Junior Jenna Clifton (Glendale, Ariz.) closed out the game for UW allowing the winning run and taking the loss, falling to 2-3 on the year.
The Huskies had eight hits, led by junior Kimi Pohlman (Sammamish, Wash.) with three.
