August 25, 2026 | Softball
SEATTLE – Washington softball and Husky head coach Heather Tarr have announced the addition of Kennedy Miller to the staff. Miller will serve as the Director of Operations, beginning her new role at UW starting this week.
Miller, a 2022 graduate of Clemson University, has spent the last four years as a member of UW's marketing department and is familiar with the Washington softball program.
"I am incredibly excited and grateful for the opportunity to join Washington Softball," Miller said. "This program has such a special culture, and I'm honored to have the chance to work alongside an amazing group of student-athletes, coaches and staff. I can't wait to get started and contribute to the continued success of Husky Softball. Go Dawgs!"
Miller began her tenure at UW in August 2022 as a marketing coordinator after graduating from Clemson earlier that year with a Bachelor of Science in business with emphasis in marketing and a minor in sports communications.
In January 2024, Miller transitioned into the role of Assistant Director of Marketing at Washington, where she primarily led game presentation and fan experience at Husky sporting events.
"Bringing Kennedy Miller onto our staff reflects the direction and ambition of Washington Softball," Tarr said. "Her enthusiasm and desire to be great match the expectations we set for ourselves every day. Kennedy has already enhanced our program through her work in UW Marketing, elevating how we show up, how we communicate and how we connect with our community. That experience made her the perfect candidate to help us expand our model of visibility, player development and precision recruiting."
During her four years in the marketing department, Miller has worked with a multitude of athletic programs, including football, men's and women's soccer, men's basketball, gymnastics and softball.
In that role, Miller has been tasked with writing scripts for game presentation, overseeing DJs, setting up in-venue giveaways all while creating a fun and enjoyable fan atmosphere in the UW athletics footprint.
"This move strengthens our infrastructure, deepens our commitment to developing the whole athlete and positions us to compete at the highest level in a rapidly evolving landscape," Tarr said. "Kennedy understands our mission, our values and the urgency with which we operate. She will help us amplify our story, sharpen our processes and continue building a program that leads from the front."
