Texas Hands Huskies Loss In Fullerton

FULLERTON, Calif. - No. 9/10 Texas handed the No. 18/16 Huskies a 4-1 loss at the Judi Garman Classic in Fullerton, Calif., on Friday night.
Washington (20-7) got its lone run in the sixth on an RBI single by junior Kaitlin Inglesby (Portland, Ore.) The Huskies had just two hits in the game off of Blair Luna who is 12-1 on the year.
Texas (25-4) had 10 hits in the game, eight off of Husky starter Bryana Walker. The junior from La Quinta, Calif., allowed four runs in 3.0 innings and fell to 11-3 on the year.
Inglesby pitched the final 3.0 innings and allowed two hits while striking out four.
The Longhorns got two runs in each of the first two innings. Taylor Thom hit a two-run home run in the first and four hits in the second inning led to the final two runs.
