Competed one year at Ricks College in Utah before leaving on a two-year Mormon mission ... earned his B.S. in biology in 2005 ... placed 12th at the 2001 NJCAA Nationals.

2004-05: Redshirted the outdoor season after suffering an injury in the spring ... placed 13th at MPSFs ...cleared 16-0 3/4 at Stanford in lone outdoor appearance.
2003-04: Came back from a two-year layoff to post Pac-10 and NCAA Regional qualifying marks in the pole vault ... was 13th in the event at the Pac-10 meet, and tied for 16th at the Regional ... cleared a season-best 16-5 1/4 at Oregon, second-best among UW vaulters outdoors in 2004 ... indoors, cleared 16 feet even for a 15th-place finish at the MPSF Championships ... consistently bettered his marks throughout the season. 2002-03: Sat out the 2003 season while on a Mormon mission.
