2000 (cross country): Red-shirted to preserve a year of eligibility... High School: Was runner-up at the Class 2A State cross country meet his senior season... Placed second at the state meet in the 1600 as a sophomore and junior... Was also runner-up at the state meet in the 800m... Finished seventh at the 1999 Border Cross Invite in Beaverton, Ore.... Also lettered in soccer in 1996-99, recording 65 career goals... Played on the Class 1A State Champion soccer team in 1998... Was voted a Washington Scholar in 2000... Appeared on the High Honor Roll 1997-2000... Sister Mathea finished 15th at the NAIA Cross Country Nationals... Also considered Wisconsin, Portland and Columbia.
