Wilson on Bork: "Jessica is very fast and was the other half of the Bork-Simpson base-running tandem last year. She's a very gifted athlete who is fast, strong and has a good arm. She just needs games and at-bats. She just lacks experience from being a very gifted contributor to this team."
Freshman (1999): Appeared in 31 games, mostly as a pinch runner...Had one start in right field...Her 30 pinch-running appearances were second on the team...Was successful on three of her five stolen-base attempts...Stole a base in her first collegiate game against New Mexico State (2/5)...Scored six runs during the course of the season...Crossed the plate for the first time in her career in her second game against Illinois-Chicago (2/6)...Scored a pivotal run in the Huskies' 3-0 in the regional final against Hawaii...Had her first at-bat against Florida (3/18).
