What is your favorite part about being a Husky?
My favorite part about being a Husky is being able to represent my school through the sport I love.
What is one random fact that people wouldn't know about you?
My elbows can hyperextend.
What is the best part about playing for Coach Tarr?
She is an extremely passionate person with everything she does and that translates on to us. She gives us the motivation to excel in the classroom and on the field.
Why did you choose the number you wear?
My dad wore the number 36 throughout his career in the NFL so I thought it would be a cool way to honor him and what he accomplished.
What is your most embarrassing softball moment?
My coach had to call time and tie my shoes for me because I couldn't do it with my batting gloves on.

Amirah in her own words:
I would describe myself as a very outgoing person. I like to make people laugh and have a good time. I have three younger sisters and my family means the world to me so I love being able to play softball at a school so close to home. I am a very adventurous person and I am open to new experiences. I love to travel and hope to explore the world someday. When I am not out being adventurous I like to stay at home and chill with my family. We are huge movie watchers so we bond by watching movies. I definitely get my competitive nature from both of my parents. Everything in my house is a competition…I mean everything! I am more than excited to be a Husky and I can't wait to see what the future holds for me here at Washington.
