
Fall Ball Slate Released, Features Husky Fall Classic In Seattle

SEATTLE -- The University of Washington softball team and head coach Heather Tarr announced the program's fall softball schedule, highlighted by the Husky Fall Classic hosted by the team at Husky Softball Stadium. The Huskies will play four games against four different opponents Friday, Oct. 9, Saturday, Oct. 10 and Sunday, Oct. 11.
The Dawgs open the Fall Classic on Friday, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. against Bellevue before playing a pair of games on Saturday against Western Washington at 3 p.m. and Wenatchee at 5 p.m. Washington concludes its fall ball slate on Sunday against Central Washington at 5 p.m.
Admission for the Fall Classic is $8 and $5 for youth (12 and under) for the entire day or a weekend pass is available for $20. The group/team rate is $5 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the gate on the day of the game(s). Parking on Friday and Saturday will be $8.
The Husky coaching staff and players are offering a Fall Tournament Youth Clinic prior to the game on Sunday, Oct. 11. All participants will receive a free ticket into the Washington vs. Central Washington game following the camp. Click here for more information.
All proceeds from the tournament benefit the Husky softball program to supplement travel budget, team building activities and facility upgrades. All individuals working the event will be volunteers who have volunteered their services.
Washington opened the 2016 autumn portion of the year in Selah, Wash. against Yakima Valley College on Sept. 19 before traveling to Utah for a trio of single games against Utah State, Utah Valley University and BYU.
