Washington In 10th After Nike Golf Collegiate Second Round

RESULTS
SEATTLE -- Junior Frank Garber posted a 1-under 69 to lead the University of Washington men's golf team on Monday (Oct. 3) during the Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational second round at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas.
With the final round tomorrow, the Huskies currently sit in 10th place in the 15-team field after 36 holes at a combined 15-over 575 (286-289). Vanderbilt climbed a spot to lead all teams at 9-under 551 (275-276) while Florida is in second at 8-under 552 (277-275), the pair are the only teams under par.
Garber, who had a season low round yesterday, bested that by one stroke and leads Washington on the leaderboard at 1-under 139 (70-69), which is tied for eighth place overall. Similar to the first round, Garber led the Huskies with three birdies again today.
Junior Jordan Lu helped off-set his first round with a second-round 71, which was a season-high, and moves to a tie for 51st at 8-over 148 (77-71).
After shooting par in the first round, freshman Henry Lee is tied for 32nd at 4-over 144 (70-74), while freshman Sam Warkentin (72-75) and senior Corey Pereira (74-75) sit in 47th and 51st, respectively after both recording 5-over 75 in the second round.
The final round of the Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational is scheduled to begin Tuesday morning. Live scoring will be available on GolfStat.com.
