Washington To Host Kansas In Top-25 Matchup

SEATTLE --- The No. 22 Washington Husky women's tennis team is set to host No. 7 Kansas in a top-25 matchup on Friday night at 5 p.m. at Nordstrom Tennis Center. The Huskies head into the match at 9-1 on the year while the Jayhawks are 8-1 on the season.
The home match against KU will conclude the non-conference slate for the Dawgs as they head to Colorado and Utah the following weekend. ย

- Senior Stacey Fung and freshman Nika Zupancic earned the 35th spot in the ITA Doubles Rankings last week currently holding a 6-1 record in dual doubles matches
- Stacey Fung's 86 career singles victories place her currently at sixth all time in program history
- The Huskies have been nearly perfect in doubles play, holding a 22-1 (.956) record in dual matches
- Singles play has not been far behind as UW holds a .759 (41-13) winning percentage in dual matches
- Freshman have impacted the team significantly through the non-conference slate as Sedona Gallagher is 6-1 in singles, 8-0 in doubles while Zupancic is 3-1 in singles and 6-1 in doubles
- The match against Kansas is the third opponent UW has faced in the ITA top-25 this season holding a 1-1 record against Vanderbilt and NC State
