SEATTLE – Gabbie Plain threw her second career no-hitter as the #6 Washington Huskies defeated the Northern Illinois Huskies 2-0. Plain became the 11^th Husky ever with multiple no-hitters, setting a new career high with 15 strikeouts while allowing only three baserunners, all via walk. The sophomore also threw a perfect game last season, against Utah.

Plain retired 12 straight batters between a walk in the second and a walk in the sixth. She would record five 1-2-3 innings, including striking out the side in the third. Only one runner reached third all game against Plain.

Morganne Flores' two-run home run in the sixth was the only scoring in the game. Sis Bates would come around to score on that homer as well.

		SCORING
Sixth Inning: Flores launched a blast over the leftfield foul pole for a two-run homer, putting the Huskies on top for good.

		NOTES
Plain (7.0 IP, 0 H, 3 BB, 15 K) is the first Husky since Bryana Walker to throw multiple no-hitters in their career. This was the first 7.0 IP+ no-hitter by the Huskies since Danielle Lawrie in 2010. Plain recorded both her 250^th career strikeout and 30^th win. Over her last nine appearances, Plain has a 0.18 ERA, with a 0.52 WHIP and 64 strikeouts. Bates (1x3, R) now has her third hitting streak of 4+ games.

The Husky Classic wraps up tomorrow as Washington plays Idaho State at 12:45 PM and Seattle U at 2:45 PM.
