Lee opened the spring campaign with his first outright tournament victory of the year, taking home the Arizona Intercollegiate with a 10-under 203 (69-68-66) following a playoff victory over No. 78 Trevor Werbylo of Arizona, who was competing on his home course.
Β
Lee never turned in a scorecard over 70 over the three rounds and he saved his best for last going 5-under on a difficult course. Despite going 1-over after his fifth hole during the final 18, Lee responded with an eagle, birdie, birdie. He then added three more birdies to one bogey forcing the playoff in which he won on the first hole.

The senior previously shared the individual title this season withΒ Noah WoolseyΒ at the Georgetown Intercollegiate. Washington has had three different players win outright or win a share of a tournament title this season in Woolsey (3 wins, two shared), juniorΒ Jan SchneiderΒ (1 shared win) and Lee (2 wins, one shared).

Washington returns to the course later this month at the Seminole Intercollegiate, Feb. 22-23.
