SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Washington wrapped up its stay at the USTA SoCal Intercollegiates with three wins in the back draw on Saturday. Brett Pearson, Rohan Belday, and Stephane Kamdenje all grabbed wins to end the weekend.
Pearson had a three set win over Tristan Messerli of Loyola Marymount, Rohan Belday won in straight sets over Dmitri Goubin of Utah State, and Stephane Kamendje won consecutive tiebreak sets over Hardy owen of BYU. Daniel Bien went to a third set super-tiebreak against Mario Garcia of UCSB, but dropped it, 10-4.
Washington heads to the ITA Northwest Regional Championships in Stockton, Calif. this week, hosted by Pacific.
