No. 25 Washington Women’s Basketball Defeats Oregon, 51-43
February 15, 2026 | Women's Basketball
SEATTLE — The No. 25 Washington women's basketball team stifled Oregon to earn its 13th home win of the season on Sunday, 51-43.
The Huskies dominated defensively, holding Oregon to its lowest point total (43) and field goal percentage (30.9%) of the season. The Ducks, who entered the contest ranked third in the Big Ten in 3-point field goal percentage, knocked down just one shot from behind the arc.
In the fourth quarter, Hannah Stines knocked down a 3-point shot for the 1,000th point in her career — becoming the 33rd player in program history to accomplish the feat. Stines becomes the third active Husky to join the club, with Elle Ladine and Sayvia Sellers the other two players with at least that many points.
The milestone makes Washington one of four teams in the country to have three players reach the 1,000-point mark at one school.
Sayvia Sellers led the Huskies in scoring, knocking down three 3-pointers in the first quarter to finish with 17 points. Sunday marks the 20th straight game Sellers finished in double digits — the first time a Husky has done so since Kelsey Plum in 2016-17.
Sellers also added three assists and a steal.
Avery Howell added another nine points, along with nine rebounds — keeping her in second place among Big Ten players with 9.4 rebounds per game in conference play.
Stines finished with seven points, along with a team-leading three steals and a block, while McGaughy delivered seven more points for the Dawgs. She recorded a big-time bucket with just over a minute remaining, using some nifty footwork in the paint to get past the defender and give the Huskies a two-possession lead.
Up next, Washington will travel to Los Angeles, Calif. to take on UCLA. That game will take place on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 7:00 p.m. PT.
