March 02, 2026 | Women's Basketball
ROSEMONT, Ill. — Washington women's basketball's Sayvia Sellers was named to the Big Ten Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the conference on Monday, Mar. 2. Sellers secured the award after a standout performance in Washington's win against Oregon Sunday, delivering 29 points.
The production helped the Huskies record a 20-win campaign and the first victory in Matthew Knight Arena since the 2016-17 season. Sellers became the first Washington player with at least six 25-plus-point outings since the 2017-18 season. The Anchorage, Alaska native also produced a team-best five assists in addition to five rebounds and a steal. Sellers finished the first half 6-for-6 from the field, with four of those shots coming from behind the 3-point line.
The dynamic guard has recorded double-figure scoring in 28 contests this year, with 23 of those coming in a row — the longest streak since Kelsey Plum in 2016-17. She has led the team (or tied) in assists in 18 games this season.
Sellers recorded a career-best 38 points on a personal high 15 field goals against No. 16 Maryland on Jan. 28. She is on pace to move up in the Washington record book for total points scored in a season, sitting 20 points away from 10th place. Sellers also moved into the ninth spot in Husky history in career 20-point games with 25.
Up next, Washington faces USC in the second round of the 2026 Allstate Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament. Tip-off is set for 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, Mar. 5. The game will air on Big Ten Network.
