
Washington Travels To LA For MPSF Midseason Rumble

SEATTLE – Washington beach volleyball heads to Los Angeles, Calif., for the MPSF Midseason Rumble on Friday, March 6, and Saturday, March 7.
All of this weekends matches will be streamed on B1G+, with live stats available for each dual.

The Huskies open tournament play Friday against No. 5 Texas at 1:00 p.m. PT, followed by a matchup against No. 2 UCLA at 3:00 p.m. PST.
On Saturday, Washington faces No. 13 LSU at 10:00 a.m. PT before closing the weekend against No. 10 California at 10:00 a.m. PT.
Last weekend, the Beach Dawgs went 3-1 at the Tiger Beach Challenge in Baton Rouge, earning wins over Louisiana-Monroe, Southern Miss, and No. 12 LSU.
Washington opened the tournament with a narrow 3-2 loss to UAB, where three of the five duals went to a deciding third set. Teila Allen and Emma Hohenauer secured a key three-set victory, while Sarah Wilcock and Ella Tyus added a straight-set win.
The Huskies responded in dominant fashion in their second match, sweeping Louisiana-Monroe 5-0 with every pair winning in straight sets. Katarina Pantovic and Emma Hohenauer highlighted the dual with a commanding 21-13, 21-8 victory.
Washington carried that momentum into Saturday, rallying for a 3-2 win over Southern Miss after dropping the first two matches. Ellis Hay and Mariana Tomasová earned a straight-set victory, while Wilcock and Tyus clinched the dual.
The Beach Dawgs closed the weekend with a statement 4-1 win over No. 12 LSU on the Tigers' home sand. Pantovic and Hohenauer delivered the match-clinching point in a three-set battle, while Teila Allen and Mayamay Brown capped the dual with a 28-26, 17-21, 15-6 marathon win.
Texas enters the weekend with a 4-2 overall record, while UCLA sits at 7-2 overall. LSU holds 9-1 overall mark, and Cal comes in at 5-4 overall.
