Carter Named B1G Player Of The Week

SEATTLE – Reece Carter has been named the Big Ten Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the conference office announced today.
Carter helped the Huskies improve to 15-1 overall and 6-1 in Big Ten action with four individual wins.
In singles, Carter's wins clinched both matches as the Huskies swept No. 60 Northwestern and No. 52 Illinois. She won her match against Northwestern's Feldman 6-4, 6-2 and against Illinois' 6-1, 6-0. Carter is currently ranked No. 70 in the ITA singles ranking with a 14-0 overall record.
Alongside doubles partner Jermine Sherif, the duo had two wins at the No. 3 spot. They opened the weekend clinching the doubles point with a 6-3 over Northwestern's Loureiro/Raath. On Sunday, Carter and Sherif had a 6-0 win over Illinois' Cooper/Madatali. The duo is 9-1 overall.
No. 21 Washington returns to the court this weekend in SoCal. The Huskies will face No. 12 USC (April 3) and No. 18 UCLA (April 5).
