Huskies Headed To Indy To Defend Big Ten Championship
May 11, 2026 | Women's Rowing
The No. 4-ranked Washington women's rowing team will compete at Big Ten Championships this coming weekend in Indianapolis, looking to defend the title that the Huskies won last year, in their first year as a member of the Big Ten Conference.
Saturday's heats will air on Big Ten Plus, while Sunday's finals will be carried live on the Big Ten Network. The Big Ten Championships are a ticketed event. For more information for those attending in person, please see the "Spectator Info" link at the top of this page.
Last season, the Huskies won all seven grand finals to sweep the regatta, becoming just the second team ever to accomplish that feat.
The Huskies, who had competed in the Pac-10/Pac-12 since the conference first recognized women's sports in 1986-87, made the move to the Big Ten along with most of the rest of UW's programs prior to the 2024-25 school year. Washington's women won the Pac-10/12 title 18 times.
This weekend's Big Ten Championships will take place at the Indianapolis Rowing Center, where Washington won the 2019 NCAA Championship, sweeping all three grand finals, and also where the Huskies won the Big Ten title last year.
