Washington Adds Incoming Freshman Quinn Burwell

SEATTLE – Washington men's golf head coach Thomas Sutton has the signing of Roosevelt High School's Quinn Burwell.
"We are thrilled to announce the addition of Quinn Burwell to our program," Sutton said. "Quinn is a talented local standout who recently captured the Washington State Junior Championship. He is a hardworking, competitive player, and we believe he will make an immediate impact while also being a tremendous teammate."
Burwell will join fellow freshman Hamish Farquharson and transfer Walker Lamb in the fall. The Huskies also return Jake Foley, Emil Herstad, Finn Koelle, Brock Maulding and Grady Millar.
Earlier this summer, Burwell won the Washington State Junior Amateur at the Yakima Elks Golf Course, shooting 12-under (204). In addition, Burwell earned a spot in the USGA Junior Amateur Championship held in Pennsylvania at the end of the month.
"We're especially excited that Quinn is staying close to home and continuing his development at Washington," Sutton added. "Growing up a Husky fan, this is a place he's always wanted to be, and we look forward to seeing the impact he'll have on our program."
Burwell set the course record at Break Creek Country Club in Woodinville with a 65 (-7) at the 2025 Washington Men's Amateur. He went on that summer to have three Top 10 finishes at the Players Open (T3), Western Open (T4) and the Washington State Junior Amateur (T10).
