SAMMAMISH, Wash. – On a day that saw just one team finish under par for 36 holes, Washington men's golf sits in a tie for eighth at the Sahalee Players Championship at Sahalee Country Club.

No. 3 Oklahoma State is leading the team race (E, 576) followed by No. 12 Illinois (+11, 587), No. 1 Florida (+12, 588), Duke (+14, 590) and No. 8 North Carolina (+20, 596) rounding out the Top 5.

Finn Koelle (T3, -1) is just one of four players under par for the tournament joining Illinois' Max Herendeen (1st, -9), Oklahoma State's Eric Lee (2nd, -4) and Pepperdine's Luke Ringkamp (T3, -1). Florida's Jack Turner and Oklahoma State's Preston Stout are even par.

Koelle's second round 69 (-3) is tied for the third-lowest round of the tournament thus far.

Washington was in sixth following the first 18 holes, with Emil Herstad (+1, 73) and Koelle (+2, 74) finding themselves in the Top 20. In the afternoon 18, UW continued to battle, staying the course with a 302 (+14) for a combined 602 (+26).

Grady Millar followed up his first round 76 (+4) with another 76 (+4) for a 152 total and is tied for 34th. Herstad is also tied for 34th following a second round 79. Jake Foley is tied for 53rd (155, +11) and first year Hamish Farquharson is tied for 64th (160, +16).

UW has three individuals also competing in the tournament. Walker Lamb – who entered the field this morning following a UNC withdrawal – is making the most of his opportunity sitting in 12th at 2-over (146). Brock Maulding is following closely behind in a tie for 18th at 8-over (152). Quinn Burwell is in a tie for 53rd at 11-over (155).

The eight Dawgs combined for 10 birdies on the closing hole over the two rounds including seven birdies to close out Round Two.
